Descriptions:
Artemetin is one of the main components of Achillea millefolium L. and Artemisia absinthium , it improves cell viability in PAE that were subjected to peroxidation by counteracting GSH depletion and apoptosis and through the modulation of mitochondrial function, it protects endothelial function by acting as antioxidant and antiapoptotic agent and through the activation of ERK1/2 and Akt. [1]
Artemetin inhibits the viability of HeLa cells in a dose dependent manner, with IC50 of 79.9 μmol·L-1, it also induces the apoptosis of HeLa cells in a dose dependent manner. [2]
Artemetin has anti-inflammatory activity and sub-acute toxicity. [3]
Artemetin, isolated from Cordia curassavica DC, has antiedematogenic activity. [4]
